Front Fix Venetian Blinds

 

Front fix Venetians offer a decorative solution for mounting on a window frame. The blind appears to be integrated into the window frame making this blind the ideal solution for any window that opens inward or tilt & turn applications.

 

 

 

Available as a 16mm or 25mm slat the blind is easy to operate with endless chain with no loose hanging cords.

Front fix is also available with side guiding which eliminates the need for the continuous chain mechanism at the side.

All front fix Venetians have a decorative white valance that blends effortlessly with the PVC window.

Operating Methods
Bottom Rail Operation

Side guiding

 

Bottom rail operation is an alternative to the traditional raise and lower cord. Blinds are raised and lowered by means of a handle operation and the blinds can be tilted using the wand. These blinds always come equipped with side guiding and are ideal for doors and tall narrow windows.
Mono command is available with endless chain operation.

Lateral support (Side Guiding)

A tension wire runs through the end of the slats, attached to the headrail and the bottom frame of the window.
This lateral support keeps the blind fitted closely against the window or door.

The blind can easily be raised and lowered and both inside mount and outside mount are possible with lateral support.

Mono-command

Mono-command controls allow you to tilt, and raise and lower the blind(s) using a single operating mechanism. The advantage of this is easier operation for larger blinds and greater convenience. Operation is slightly slower due to a built-in time lag.

The various types of Mono-command system include:

  • Crank (fixed or detachable*)

  • Endless cord system

  • Electromotor (24V & 230V)

  • Operation with switch

  • Operation via remote control

  • Central operation of several blinds

  • Central and individual operation of several blinds

* This operation is recommended in the case of high windows, not easy to reach.

Cord and tilt bar

The standard blind is supplied with lift cord and tilt wand. The standard tilting mechanism is fitted with a unique protection to prevent the mechanism slipping and the ladder cords from being forced.

Using the precise tilting mechanism the slats can be positioned to each desired closing position.

A choice is available from the following operating options :

  • Raise & lower controls right /tilt controls left

  • Raise & lower controls left /tilt controls right

  • Raise & lower and tilt controls right

  • Raise & lower and tilt controls left

In your choice of an operational side, watch out for any obstacles such as door or window handles!

Electrical tilting with remote control (Tilt-Only)

With the infrared remote control you are not only opting for atmosphere but also for comfort inside your home. In this way the blind can be easily adjusted to the constantly changing incidence of light.

The cord for raising and lowering is maintained. The tilt mechanism is replaced by a remotely controlled motor unit fed by 4 x 1.5 volt LR6, AA batteries.

If the header rail is concealed behind a coving or curtain, an external eye can be ordered and can be hung up at 0.5 m from the blind.

The remote control is suitable for both tilt directions and works on 3 x 1.5 volt LR03, AAA batteries. The motor unit has a choice of channels so that up to a maximum of two separate blinds can be operated via the remote control.

Measuring for your Venetian Blind

MEASURING IS FREE ON EVERY BLIND ORDER PLACED FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND!

All we need to begin with is an approximate measurement for your window so that we may best advice you with style and prices.

  1. Measure from the top of the window (inside the window reveal) to the window sill.
  2. Measure the width of the window from side to side (inside the window reveal)

This rough measurement will give us enough information to enable us to help you. Once you have placed your order, our fitter will make an appointment to visit you to check measure each window to ensure your blind fits perfectly every time.
